Liquid Nails EXTERIOR

Selleys Liquid Nails Exterior is a high-performance construction adhesive specifically designed for outdoor use. It can withstand heat, water and UV. Mechanical fasteners can be removed after 4 hours, and the bond will not crack or go brittle over time. Its formulation is solvent-free and allows for easy water clean-up.

Features

Liquid Nails Exterior will Adheres 3 tonnes per m² after 4 hours on timber, at which point you can remove fasteners. It is water, heat, and UV resistant for exterior applications (not recommended for roofing) and the bond will not crack or go brittle over time.

Installing sheet flooring to joists, adhering metal or aluminium door strips to floors or walls, putting up timber or fibre cement sheeting to cement block or brick walls, adhering Masonite/hardboard to timber or floor boards, installing wallboard or panelling to wood or metal frames, adhering cork tiles to timber, fibre cement or plaster

Liquid Nails INSTANT HOLD

A high performance advanced polymer construction adhesive that delivers instant hold up to 400kg/m² on any building material, even vertical surfaces*. It is heat, UV and water resistant and doesn’t require fasteners or clamps for many applications* so you can get on with the next job.

Suggested tasks

* Installing fixtures to vertical surfaces (hooks, shelving, rails),  outdoor landscaping,  house decoration/features.

^{*Holds instantly but must not be disturbed until fully cured (Up to 48 hours). Weight is restricted for non-porous substrates including, for example, metal & glass – support may be required where the object exceeds 5kg. Not for PP, PE, PTFE, and some rubbers}

Liquid Nails HEAVY DUTY

An advanced high performance construction adhesive that delivers extreme strength in a shorter space of time*. The product is specifically designed for those demanding high performance applications, like attaching heavy or bulky materials, panelling, stone tiles, timber and furniture.

Suggested tasks

Installing sheet flooring to joists, adhering metal or aluminium door strips to floors or walls, putting up timber or fibre cement sheeting to cement block or brick walls, adhering Masonite/hardboard to timber or floor boards, installing wallboard or panelling to wood or metal frames, adhering cork tiles to timber, fibre cement or plaster.

^{*Usually mechanical fasteners are required for only 8hrs on porous surfaces and a strong bond is achieved in 24hrs and continues to strengthen over 2-3 days. Cures in 7 days. Expect longer times for thicker applications, less porous surfaces and in colder weather}

Liquid Nails RAPID CURE

An advanced high performance polyurethane construction adhesive that cures in just 10 minutes*. It forms a durable, waterproof bond even when bonding two non-porous substrates. 

Suggested tasks

Decking projects, applications where metal substrates are exposed to sunlight, adhering sheet flooring to joists, metal or aluminium strips to floors or walls.

^{*Expect longer times for very ‘dry’ timber, heavier objects and less porous surfaces, or in colder weather. Spraying surfaces with a very light mist of water may help to speed up cure.} 

Liquid Nails FAST GRAB

A high strength construction adhesive that provides strong initial holding power. The water based formulation is low odour and allows for easy water clean-up.

Suggested tasks

Putting up cornices, skirting boards or architraves, adhering wall panelling to masonry, and adhering styrene foam to metal roofing.
